The Founder
Behind this vision is Maude L. Charette, a seasoned mining industry engineer. Having worked in the field for many years, Maude has experienced first-hand the challenges of wearing ill-fitting PPE. She has seen how uncomfortable and ill-fitting equipment can compromise not only workers' safety, but also their productivity and well-being. It was this personal experience that was the catalyst for the creation of Loam Sécurité.
But Loam Sécurité's vision doesn't stop at morphological adaptation. Aware of today's environmental challenges, Maude has also integrated a research and development dimension into our mission.

What LOAM means
At Loam Sécurité, the choice of the name "Loam" reflects the commitment of our founder. With a degree in geological engineering, she wanted to give the company a geological character. "Loam" stands for fertile, balanced soil, symbolizing our corporate philosophy of creating a safe working environment conducive to well-being.
Maude also chose "Loam" because of her experience with this type of soil, which presents complex and crucial challenges not to be overlooked at the outset of works. The management, planning and consideration of this type of pre-construction soil are essential to the success of projects. Similarly, neglect of appropriate PPE can complicate and undermine the professional success of workers, and consequently of companies.
